Trees and Shrubs

Local Trees

Alpine & Desert Arboriculture

Arboriculture is defined as the planting, care and study of perennial woody plants, namely, trees, shrubs and vines.

We offer hundreds of different types to match every taste and purpose.  Come in and see our selection.

Trees

Trees are perennials -- deciduous or evergreen -- defined by their woody trunks and their explicit, well-defined crowns. According to the species, mature trees can range in height from 5 to over 365 feet! Certain individual specimens represent not only the highest living things on earth, but also the largest and the oldest. They are a major companion plant for human culture, providing beauty, inspiration, oxygen, building materials, food and much, much more.

Single trees often become centerpieces for our homes, and if well placed, can easily increase the property value.

We offer many different types of trees that are hardy for our region. Come in, let us introduce you to our trees:

Shrubs

Shrubs are usually perennials -- deciduous or evergreen -- defined by their multiple woody stems arising from the base of the plant. Shrubs differ from trees mainly by the lack of a single trunk. They can range in height from 18 inches to 18 feet.
